Because a producer can't get a decent horror-script from any of his
scriptwriters, he goes to the graveyard to interview a bunch of ghosts
about their stories and gets the usual about men dragged into the ghost
world by female ghosts, haunted houses, forests and hospitals, violent
self-abortions and avenging babies, baby-eating midwife-ghosts and
avenging murder victims. At the end of the interviews though, when the
script is done and has turned out as good as can be, the producer has to
realize he has become part of the ghostworld himself.
In general, I rather enjoy horror anthologies, as they tend to
tell stories stripped to the bone rather than blow feeble narratives up to
feature length. That said though, Skrip 7707 is still a bit of a
failure, as it doesn't feature stories as such, rather mere horror
sequences ripped out of their narrative context and pasted together for
maximum effect - only without proper build-up, there is no maximum
effect, which is why the film fails to work. An at best mediocre
direction and so-so cast don't help much either, of course.
