Lester (Don Barrett), a butcher who's gone out of business long ago
because he wouldn't give in to machinisation, is now being evicted from
his slaughterhouse. His attorney Murdock (Lee Robinson) and local sheriff
Borden (William Houck) try to convince him to accept an offer from
(machinized) butcher Sanford (Bill Brinsfield), who even offers him a job
in his slaugherhouse, but Lester, a stubborn old-school kind of guy, just
bluntly refuses and thinks everybody is conspiring against him.
Then Lester discovers that his retarded son Buddy (Joe B.Barton) has
just killed two teens (Joel Hoffman, Courtney Lercara), and suddenly he
has an idea: why not let lester kill Murdock, Sanford and the Sheriff ...
and before you know it, Murdock and Sanford are slaughtered too.
Even though their teen friends have disappeared just the other day, a
quartet of teens (Sherry Leigh, Jeff Grossi, Jane Higginson, Erich
Schwarz) seem to be lured to Lester's run-down slaughterhouse like moths
to the light just to play all sorts of pranks on each other ... until
Buddy steps in and the pranks get real - and before you know it, Liz
(Sherry Leigh), who just happens to be the Sheriff's daughter is the only
survivor. then her dad stops by to save her, which he succeeds in but he
is stabbed in the back by Lester who is later run over by Liz when she
tries to get away in her father's car. Unfortunately she forgets to check
the backseat where Buddy has been hiding ...
Run-of-the-mill slasher, pretty gory perhaps, but little else to go for
it. If you're not a die-hard slasher fan, this film has pretty little to
offer, just the typical low production values, underaccomplished actors,
cardboard characters, uninspired direction, unoriginal gore scenes and
totally predictable storyline. Not really worth your while, is it ?
