From the looks of it, Anne (Briana Evigan) has been through a lot - I
mean, who sits down in front of a washing mashine, a glass of liquor in
hand and chain smoking without good (or weird) reason. Fact is, Anne has
lost her daughter (AnaSofia Bianchi) - and there might just be something
(Derek Mears) living in this washing machine that had to do with the
demise of the girl ... Basically, SockMonster is just
fun, especially of course for genre fans who can at the same time
appreciate the utter absurdity of the concept and totally welcome the fact
that the whole thing is presented with a straight face, acted and directed
like a serious thriller, winking at the audience really only from behind
the corner. And the result is awesome horror entertainment!
