Sam Lee has an affair with a stewardess called Apple (Lee San San), unaware that she is actually the
daughter of a triad-bigshot, so when he actually grows tired of her, she
(& especially her father's henchmen) wouldn't let him off the hook.
So when he meets another stewardess (Seina Kasugai), a Japanese one
(& he has the fantasy of screwing a Japanese woman to pay them all
back for world war 2 [!]) & screws her, he is put into the hot seat:
Firstly the triads torture him for cheating on the bosses offspring
& violently force him to end his affair, but secondly the Japanese
girl turns out to be a psycho, not letting him go that easily.
& if
that wasn't enough, she also has the habit to kill anyone who dirties
her shoes in one way or the other, killing Apple first, later her father
and his henchmen, finally our hero's best friend. It is not until she is
hot on the heels of our hero that we learn that she isn't really a
stewardess but failed her exams, has a long history of violence
(especially against stewardesses) & is actually afraid of heights.
Thanks to this information, our hero is finally able to kill her, but he
himself ends up in the nuthouse.
Somehow this movie seems to be inspired by psycho-horror-movies from
Japan (especially Audition springs to mind) about ghost-girl
assailants, but it does very poorly in the atmosphere-department (&
this kind of film heavily relies on a creepy atmosphere). Also, the
story relies heavily on sex & violence, but we actually see very
little of either, even though there are references in every other scene.
Instead, the movie chooses an over-the- top style of storytelling always
bordering on broad comedy ... with just one problem - it's not really
all that funny - or clever for that matter.
