Lt Fisher has just passed a test that allows him to pilot Stingray,
supersub of the World Aquanaut Security Patrol, and now he is supposed to
take her out to the shooting range. Problem is, evil surface agent X20 has
learned about the whole thing (by sitting in a box supposed to contain a
computer inside the World Aquanaut Security Patrol headquarters), and he
decides to place a bomb on one of the targets to render the sub disabled,
then attach a timebomb to it - and his evil plan works surprisingly well.
Thing is, somehow Troy Tempest, Stingray's captain and all-around hero
(who has not een on the mission with Fisher) has somehow gotten wind of
the whole thing, and now he takes an airplane to Stingray's coordinates,
parachutes down, goes on a diving expedition, pulls the bomb from the
sub's hull, and tosses it away just in time ... and the day is saved.
Some nice miniatures, but overall just another tired episode. One nice
thing is a plethora of close-ups on the characters' eyes during a suspense
sequense, but this is ruined simply by the fact that the characters are
just puppets, and their eyes are not able to carry any kind of emotion.
Pity, it almst looked great.
