Alan Tracy of International Rescue wins a carrace, driving an
experimental car designed by the organisation's inventor Brains - much to
the dismay of former racecar champion Victor Gomez, who decides to get rid
of Tracy and get his hold on the car in one go: By placing Alan and his
gandma on a bridge attached to a bomb that is designed to go up should
Alan move, then making his getaway in Alan's car. But of course, the guys
from International Rescue arrive just in time to save Alan and granny,
then they drive Gomez and the car over some cliffs in a flying machine
versus automobile chase. Though the structure of the plot - a
flashback of a man in mortal danger - seems to be fresh and exciting, the
approach to this narrative device is anything but, really failing to
produce any reasonable kind of suspense. That said, the episode features
some great miniature effects the series has become famous for, including a
pretty exciting car race. And mainly for that, Move and You're Dead
is definitely worth a watch.
