TV-host Ricochet does have his own show on (pirate) satellite
television, but his show is the show with a difference, as he is really
broadcasting live from the satellite. One day though, his satellite
is hit by debris from an exploded rocketship, and his satellite is thrown
out of its orbit and is approaching earth ... which is even worse than it
sounds because the debris has hit the parachute unit and Ricochet's
technician is caught in the airlock. Or course, in the end, the guys from
International Rescue, who have a rocketship among their collection of
flying machines, the Thunderbirds, not only rescue him and his technician,
they also keep the satellite from crashing into an oil refinery. And
Thunderbird pilot Alan, who has grown a tad jealous of Ricochet because
his girlfriend Tin Tin likes him, is even allowed to punch him on the eye
- all in the course of duty. Mediocre episode of Thunderbirds,
on one hand not too big on human drama (which the puppet-cast is trerribly
bad at), but on the other hand, the action, the effects and miniatures
(the series' strengths) are all less than special.
