On a trip to the beach, Bud Yan's (Cheung Ho Lung) girlfriend Audrey
(Anita Chan) finds a pair of sunglasses - ahunted sunglasses, because when
Audrey puts them on, she
sees a woman running from a man trying to murder her. Audrey throws the
sunglasses away in shock, but they seem to stick with her, and wherever
she goes, they sooner or later turn up - and at times she even acts crazy,
as if possessed by the sunglasses (!). Bud Yan is quick to decide this is a
case for his aunt, famed exorcist Mrs Bud (Law Lan), who sends the couple
back to the beach resort they have been at along with the whole Troublesome
Night-crowd (Tong Ka Fai, Kau Man-Lung, Kwai Chung, Simon Lui) to
assist them. Once at the resort, the whole bunch is quick to find out
that the killer Audrey has seen in her sunglasses-induced vision is Ka Hing (Ken
Wong), a young and goodlooking man with money to burn who's rarely seen
without an entourage of at least beautiful 10 women vying for his attention. It
isn't long before Audrey figures out the murdered woman in her vision must
have been Ka Hing's wife Wan (Wong Man Yip), whom he has killed for her
money, and it doesn't take her long to figure out where he has buried her
body as well. Once all of this is figured out, all our heroes have to do
is to give Ka Hing such a fright that he returns to the place where he has
buried his wife to dig her up so the police can catch him red-handed ... A
very tired horror story told in an even more tired way: The set-up of this
little tale bears next to no interest, the many cheap jokes which unfold
in the process do little to progress the story or at least create the
proper atmosphere (quite the contrary), and the finale is a total letdown. Absolutely
not worth your time or money!
