Marcus (Hamza Zaman) finds himself tied to a bed among awakening, and
when he screams for help, he's met by a charming lady, Ruby (Genoveva),
who claims to be a doctor and tells him he has to be tied to the bed until
his stitches are healed as he has been in an aweful car accident. In
fact, this should have been the most beautiful night of Marcus's life, he
finally wanted to propose to his girlfriend Cynthia (Tyler Kipp) and have
a romantic night on the town, but apparently, fate had other plans. Now
Cynthia, she's in the next room, still alive, if barely, but Ruby promises
to fix her up as well - bad thing then that Ruby seems to have her own
ulterior motives for all of this and might have helped out fate a little
... You Can't Predict Fate is based on a really good
story with interesting characters, and the actors do their best to bring
them to life - and yet the film falls short of its promise, it just fails
to create the necessary tension and atmosphere to really hit it home, and
thus the enjoyably macabre story turns lifeless in execution. Not a
trainwreck by far, this one, but could have been so much more!
