You have a recent production called Chatter. What is the plot for this?

Chatter is a tech-thriller that follows David and Laura Cole, temporarily living in different parts of the world, who use Skype to stay connected. Over the course of a couple weeks, we begin to see that the house David is staying in is haunted by the ghost of a little girl named Anna. And she is able to use the internet to cross over and kill people. All of this is seen through the eyes of a Department of Homeland Security agent.

Who stars in this?

Brady Smith and Sarena Khan play David and Laura Cole. We are also very fortunate to have Ashley Palmer (Paranormal Activity), P.J. Marshall (Underground), Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), Tohoru Masamune (Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Alison Haislip (Attack of the Show) as part of the cast.

The film has made it to some festivals with favorable results, no?

Yes, it has been pretty amazing. Chatter was named Best Horror Feature by the Philip K. Dick Film Festival (2016), Best Experimental Feature by Fantastic Film Awards (2016) and LA Thriller Film Fest (2015), The Audience Award by RIP Horror Film Fest (2015), and I was fortunate to be named Best Emerging Filmmaker by RIP Horror Film Fest (2015).

In addition to the awards, Chatter was nominated for Best Thriller by Shriekfest (2015) and has been Official Selections of Nevermore Film Fest (2016) and Innovative Film Fest (2015). Brady and Sarena have also been highly recognized for their performances.

Where might people order the film or find out more about it?

www.FollowTheChatter.com links to all of our social media. The most active with updates is our Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/ChatterMovie. You can also find me on Twitter at: @mattytheglue

And of course, watch the trailer here: https://youtu.be/3iaD-27URgg

We are currently speaking with distributors and hope to have Chatter available soon. We are also hosting special screenings at theaters in different parts of the country. So definitely like us on Facebook for the latest.

Do you have any other projects in the making after this?

Yes! I am working on another thriller called Sleep Study, which we will shoot this summer.

Do you have any interesting behind the scenes stories to share during the making of Chatter?

There is quite a bit! First of all, the actors really used Skype to act with each other, so there is always the possibility of the signal dropping. HAHA! That happened a lot. The other thing is that my refrigerator broke on the first day of filming. And the problem with that was, we used my house to film in. So we had to get creative with food.

What would you consider the strong points of the film?

According to audiences, it is really scary! People have told me that they got full-body chills and were on the edges of their seats. So that is cool. Also, the actors are amazing and really brought depth to their characters.

The weak points, if any?

I'll leave that to the critics.

In regard to this, is there anything you would have done differently concerning Chatter, in looking back?

I mean, there are always things to do differently. Hindsight is a bitch. Haha.

This interview is short and to the point. Is there anything else you would like to add about this film or others you have been involved with?

I can't say enough about how great the horror community has been. The audiences have been amazing and I love getting messages from people who have seen the film.

Closing comments?

Thanks so much for having me and for helping me get the word out about Chatter! The cast and crew worked their asses off and it is really great to be receiving such amazing feedback. So, thank you.

Thanks for the interview!
