Actually, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello want to help Professor Zoomer (Kurt Katch) to ship Klaris the Mummy (Eddie Parker) to the USA, but then Professor Zoomer is murdered, the mummy is revived, Abbott is suspected to have murdered the Professor, and Costello has eaten a cursed amulet which two fractions - art smuggler Madame Rontru (Marie Windsor) and her henchmen and Semu (Richard Deacon) and his worshippers of (ancient and mummified) Princess Arna, whom Klaris the Mummy was suppsed to protect - are after.

Several tired Abbott & Costello routines follow before everyone meets up at Princess Arna's pyramid, which leads to some stale chases, more mummies and ultimately the blowing up of the pyramid that is then turned into a nightclub - and the picture is over.

Somehow it's always kind of charming to see send-ups to films of the Universal horror cycle, and their Mummy-series was over-ripe for a parody to begin with. However, with Abbott & Costello running the show, one simply mustn't expect too much, most of the film is made up of gags the duo has used in their films over and over again, and several of the gags, especially the snake charmer-running gag, are nothing short of unfunny and painful to watch or way too juvenile for even kids.

Still, vintage horror fans will find several occasions to giggle - mostly when Abbott & Costello are not on-screen - just don't expect too much from the film, after all, this is an Abbott & Costello-comedy.
