Roscoe (Phillip Andre Botello) and Benny (Trevor Dawkins) are two
losers as pathetic as they come, the former is the third wheel in a hippie
trio (with Betsey Brown and Noah Lepawsky), the latter so desparate he has
bought himself a baby sex doll in hopes he can bring it to life while at
the same time not willing and able to admit he has actually fathered a
child with a prostitute (Eva Fellows). The two of them find one another as
they have (rather accidently) learned the secret of hallucinogenic worms
that open them up to all kinds of new sensations. And tripping as they
are, they go on a trip sparkled with sex and violence together to find
themselves - unaware that they have travel companions that might not have
strictly their best interests in mind ...
Above synopsis really scratches only the surface of what All
Jacked Up and Full of Worms is really about, simply because it's not
strictly a narrative-centered movie but pretty much plays out like a drug
trip gone wrong, all logical lapses and incongruencies included and
intentional, really. So every now and again, this film just seems to veer
off the track - which totally works in the movie's favour of course, as it
really comes into its own as a nightmare come to screen, and
entertainingly so, as direction and performances only support the film's
absurdist and at times really surreal whole, making this welcomely odd
genre entertainment.
