It's the end of the day like any other day at some nondescript diner,
with employees Nola (Verity Hayes) and Gurdip (Matt O'Toole, voiced by
Lukas Wechsler) closing up and Nola moaning about this and that -
including a weird phonecall concerning some pretty dangerous ingredients
for their burritos. And come to think of it, the diner has its own lab the
employees are not allowed to enter. But hey, what's the worst that can
happen, it's not that the local mad scientist is creating flesh-eating
burritos ... right? Ok, flesh-eating burritos are a fun thing
all by themselves, and they're rather beautifully brought to life in this
one - but the real driving force of this horror miniature is actually
Verity Hayes, who, as the center of attention, manages to make her
character relatable and hilarious at the same time. And of course she's
helped by a script that gets the most out of the situation and a genre
savvy directorial effort, to make this one very coll and rather funny
monster flick.
