It's a kiddies' show on a public access channel, where the slightly
creepy Uncle Bobbo (Vincent Stalba), helped by his young assistant Purity
(Stella Creel), explains to his young audience what a tyre's made of, and
in consequence that oil comes from dinosaurs - but the show soon takes a
tangent towards the sexual ... Now above synopsis, while being
pretty accurate, doesn't do this short much justice as the film takes its
subject matter to its surreal limits, fattens the proceedings with stock
footage, mixes comedic and parodistic elements into the mix, but also ever
so often follows associative logic to drive its story. And on top of this,
there's also puppetry and a (exhilaritingly primitive) stop motion
sequence depicting the extinction of the dinosaurs. And the whole blend
works better than expected and actually makes a very entertaining and
refreshingly different movie. But that said, you might need a slightly
weird sense of humour to properly enjoy this.
