Bloody Nun

review by
Mike Haberfelner

It's party time at Mr. Draven's (Garlan Green) whorehouse, where his two girls Tiffany (Tina Krause) and Heidi (Jen Elyse Feldy) are willing and able to serve the guests. And the guests are a very diverse bunch that includes among others a clown (Will Collazo jr) and even local priest Father Mateo (Jose Otero), who claims he has come to save some souls, but really, he's mostly here to "get it on" with the girls. That said, the place could sure need a priest, an exorcist preferably, because it's haunted by the Bloody Nun (Christian Di Lalla), a particularly homicidal demon in a nun costume who takes out the guests and ultimately even the girls one by one, and when people start to notice, it's already way too late. Fortunately, demon hunter Sandoval (Mark C. Fullhardt) is roaming the neighbourhood and makes it a point to stop at Draven's place. But while he has been hunting and killing demons for decades, he might be out of his league with this one ...

Prominent vlogger Shawn C. Phillips plays himself trying to disprove the Bloody Nun curse in the opening segment, while in the post finale scene Carl J. Grasso links this movie to the first Bloody Nun.

Now on a pure technical level, Bloody Nun 2: The Curse might have some deficiencies, and at times in the film its modest budget definitely shows - and yet, the film is just good fun in a party movie sort of way, with colourful characters, pretty girls, humour that's at times intentionally rude, violent scenes thrown in at all the right places, and occasional bits of bad taste, all wrapped up in an enjoyable romp that moves along so swiftly you're almost certain to be entertained.
