All he (Kevin James) wants is to make it through the corridors of his
apartment building to his own apartment, but pretty much all his phobias
make this a trip to hell, as it seems every new corridor is even more
dangerous than the last one, and thus our hero has to face everything from
bear traps to spikes growing out of the floor to demons even. Will he ever
make it home ... The story of this short is truly very
skeletal, something that's only emphasized by the complete lack of
dialogue - and yet, this is a brilliant movie thanks to strong,
atmospheric, surreal imagery, with tension and shocks all in the right
places, and a welcome tendency to heighten the horrific and grotesque with
each subsequent scene. And Kevin James sure carries his part well, makes
all his fears really palpable. In all, one heck of a piece of horror
cinema.
