Meekah (Theo White) is a journalist specializing in cold cases, and
he's determined enough to finally solve them, too - with an impressive
success rate I might add. However, the latest case he's working on might
just as well be the one that breaks his success run, as no matter how he
twists and turns it, things just fail to fit together. So night after
night he goes to the same bar with all the evidence he has collected to
try and make sensee of it over a few drinks. Only today it's different, as
a mysterious stranger (Timothy J. Cox) sits down at his table, and he
seems to know everything about Meekah. And if that wasn't creepy enough,
as a parting gift he makes a haunting relevation ... A very
eerie short that tells a morbid story with a definite Twilight
Zone feel to it and an approach that blends sharp dialogue and
atmospheric shots to create the perfect aura of mystery. And two
on-the-spot leads and a bar that provides just the right, moody backdrop
to the proceedings sure help making this one into a really cool and
positively macabre short.
