Rafa (Guillermo Toledo), a born salesman for women's fashion, wants to live in a perfect world, where he drives a perfect car, is always most elegantly dressed, and shags the most beautiful female personnel of the shop - and somehow this perfect world has become a reality for him ... until he is not promoted to the position of floor managere but menswear salesman Don Antonio (Luis Varela), and Don Antonio not only hates Rafa, he soon enough finds an excuse to fire him. But the two men get into an argument, into a fight, and eventually, Rafa kills Don Antonio quite accidently. However, who would believe it was an accident: The two were seen fighting, Rafa had a motive, and most important of all, accident or not, Rafa did kill him.

Somehow Rafa manages to hide the body till closing time, and once he's alone in the department store, he gets the body to the incinerator, then fetches a machete to hack Don Antonio up and burn him in small portions.

However, when Rafa returns withthe machete, the body is gone ...

The next day, Rafa learns that Lourdes (Monica Cervera), the least attractive of the girls in the store, has hidden the body, because she is madly in love with him, and hiding the body was the only way to attract Rafa's attention - since normally he only notices very attractive women.

Together, Rafa and Lourdes burn the body ... but from now on, Lourdes insists that they are a couple, and forces him, now floor manager, to fire all the beautiful girls  and focus his attention on her ... quite a blow for Rafa, who despises her mediocrity. But it gets worse: Soon he is introduced to her parents, and then he is even forced to marry her live on TV ... and all the while, he despises Lourdes more and more.

Finally, with a way too nosey police inspector (Enrique Villén), who just knows they are guilty, already closing in, Rafa makes up a plan to kill his wife, a plan that's even supported by the ghost of Don Antonio, who appears to Rafa these days. But finally, instead of killing her, Rafa sets fire to the department store and fakes his own death ...

... and a few years later, Rafa is the rpoud owner of a tie shop, and everything could be so great again - if it wasn't for Lourdes, who has since become a designer and has presented the world with ghastly clown's wear ...

Hilarious black comedy, where most of the principal cast is made up of enjoyably despicable characters, who somehow work great through this ironic crime story's many unusual twists and turns.

Certainly one of Alex de la Iglesia's best ...
