Jonathan (Adam Holley), a journalist fallen from grace, has just moved town in search for a story, only to in his new home finding a dead body behind his bathroom mirror, a body the local Sheriff (Jan DeAngelo) tells him is most probably Isaac (Joshua Sedelmeyer), a locally known voyeur who has gone missing a year or so ago - seems this is where he's been hiding. However, Jonathan can't let the Sheriff and local handiman Clint (Tim O'Hearn) remove the body without the permission of his landlord Rogers (J.W. Kiefer) as it would lead to serious damage to the bathroom. Of course, that's only the official reason, as actually Jonathan smells a good story here. A better story than he could ever have expected though, as when he lets one of his sources, Debra (Jessica Nogaret), take a shower at his after a rather disgusting accident with a dead raccoon, Isaac's dead body is re-animated, steps out from behind the mirror and physically attacks her, and then Jonathan as well before he can chase the body off. Once the Sheriff returns, he's rather miffed that Jonathan has lost Isaac's body, but doesn't believe much of the rest of the story. Meanwhile, Debra is slightly shocked about what Jonathan has dragged her into, and she forbids him to ever call her again before she storms off to visit her friend Lynette (Janna Holley) to calm her down. But Lynette tells her stories about Isaac when he was still alive, demonic possession and a local cult, which makes Debra believe Jonathan after all, and she goes to fetch him to talk to Lynette. But meanwhile, dead Isaac visits Lynette and murders her, and Jonathan and Brenda only find her dead body ... that has disappeared by the time the Sheriff arrives. As the Sheriff has enough of Jonathan the troublemaker, so he takes him in. But while waiting at Deputy Tom's (Michael Yammine) place to be taken to the police station, Jonathan catches a glimpse of a video that seems to prove Rogers, handiman Clint, Deputy Tom and Isaac were all members of some cult that dabbled in the demonic side of things a bit too much, with catastrophic results. But try as he might, he can't convince the Sheriff of this, and what's worse, the Sheriff seems to head right into a trap laid out by the demonic cult ...

Ok, the plot of this film might be a bit convoluted, with a bit much going on, even considering there aren't all that many characters - but at the same time, the film is expertly paced and flows really well, with all the suspense, action and violence well-placed and hardly a dull moment in-between. And of course, that's only augmented by a genre-savvy directorial effort and some really cool mechanical creature effects, and carried by a well fleshed out cast of characters embodied by a very able ensemble cast, and all of this adds up to very cool genre entertainment.
