It should have been the third date of Isabelle (Rachel Alana Handler)
and Jason (Wasim Azeez), and everything has been going great so far. But
then, at the newly renovated subway station in Astoria, New York they're
meeting at she remarks
it's a shame that there are neither elevators nor escalators, making it
inaccessible for persons with disability - and he, instead of agreeing
with her or letting it slide,
starts making excuses for the MTA, and she, wearing a
prosthetic leg and indentifies as womeone with disapbility, just can't let
his comments slide ... Of course, the point
this film is making is 100% valid, but what makes this film actually good
is its delivery of the message which is not on-the-nose but in a
light-footed, almost comedic way, while managing to present the audience
with well fleshed-out characters at the same time in a mere five minutes
of running time. And while the message is no doubt important, the
film is very enjoyaqble regardless of that even.
