In a long gone time, before spaghetti was even invented: He's (David
Black) a wise wizard on a mighty quest to free a princess from a dragon.
She's (Vixey Teh) a weekend warrioress on a way to some convention to
prove her stealth - and she's exactly what our wizard could need on his
quest. It's just that she has other views on pretty much everything, going
so far as to call his whole mission misogynist - making our sage
understand the world less and less ... Presented by vampirish Count
Funghoula (David Black). I guess it's fair to call Quest of
Questions a post-post-modernist meta film on post-modernist fantasy
movies, or a parody on revisionist genre filmmaking as such - but at its
heart this first episode of Dramatica Diablos is really just
a lot of fun, well-written banter with a solid narrative structure that
skillfully works towards a fun punchline rather than just pulling amusing
oneliners out of the hat. And both Black and Teh really fill their roles,
get the joke, but don't overdo it. If you're up for a laugh, this one
ought to definitely be on your menu!
