They killed her dad but showed mercy on little Hayley and raised her as
one of their own - but raised her into a life of drugs and crime. There's
no love or compassion for her in any of them though, she's nothing but a
cog in the machine, and more often than not gets cheated out of her cut.
But it's only when some random shopkeeper shows her sympathy that she
questions whether she ought to even stay with her "family" ... A
very compelling drama that despite its outbursts of violence and gunplay
doesn't rely on spectacle but rather on subtle nuances, hints even, and
more on emotional undercurrents than actual dialogue. And a very
atmosphere heavy directorial effort with a certain slice-of-life feel to
it nevertheless, as well as a strong ensemble cast bring this all across
rather beautifully, making this a truly worthwhile watch.
