Sarah has gone to prison, for a crime she didn't commit, & the
prison is of course the typical despicable place run by a perverted
governor & sadistic warden Landers. To prove her innocence, Sarah just
would have to speak with Julia, the sister of a friend of hers who
had been killed by the same men who framed her. To this end Sarah even
bribes a guard ... but the guard is found out by warden Landers, pushed
down a staircase to her death, & the crime is pinned on Sarah, who is
tortured until she makes a confession, then she is drugged into a coma ... Meanwhile
on the outside, Julia figures the only person who could help her find the
killers of her sister is Sarah, but when she, together with inspector
Ford, visits her in prison, she only finds her to be a comatose vegetable. So,
in a typical piece of B-movie-logic, Julia asks inspector Ford to throw
her into the slammer, to ... I don't know, awaken Sarah from her coma -
which is not quite as easy as it seems, because warden Landers keeps Sarah
hidden away, & constantly drugged. Once in, Julia soon embarks on a
lesbian relationship with co-convict Ulrika (Ajita Wilson), & becomes
the nurse of the prison's infirmary, where she & the local Doctor fall
in love with each other, & which she thiknks is a good starting point
to look for Sarah. Eventually too, Julia finds Sarah, totally out of it,
only to be caught by the warden, who soon enough treats her to some severe
torture. Meanwhile Ulrika & a few other girls plan a prison revolt,
which is betrayed by warden Landers favourite lesbian convict/lover May
though before it starts, but when Irina steüps the prison's gouvernor who
has repeatedly raped her, the girls go ahead nevertheless - & are
successful to in not only bringing the prison under their control but also
freeing Julia, who has meanwhile spoken to Sarah (who seems to have gotten
better after all) & can now prove that none other than warden Landers
herself is behind the murder of her sister & the framing of Julia -
which pretty much turns everyone, including the prison doctor, against the
warden, & in the end, Ulrika & Landers kill each other in a final
confrontation ... As you might have noticed from my synopsis,
nothing special really, just your run-of-the-mill cheap women in prison
flick, where the poor storyline serves as little more than a hanger for
some violence & nudity ... which is not made any better by the fact
that most of the cast is a rather unattractive bunch (& believe me,
I'm not especially picky). It's just bad, but not bad enough to be
good again.
