Candy's (Courtney Akbar) life is falling apart, thus she decides to
skip town - only to once on the road hear report after report that the
world as such seems to be falling apart, on various fronts ...
- Invasive Species: A couple is woken up in the middle of the
night by 3 mysterious strangers (Tim O'Hearn, Zak Seeley, Chris
DaBella) who ask to be invited in to call an ambulance for an injured
friend (Tyree Cobbins). And while the husband (Shane Smith) is trying
to make up excuses as the stranger's story sounds fishy, his wife
(Crystal Loverro) has already found out their visitors are vampires
...
- With the parents out, teenaged Mallory (Ashley Mei) has invited her
friends James (Austyn Reale) and Lola (Jocelyne Daugherty) over to
experiment a bit with a ouija board. Now for James and Mallory it's
just fun and games, but for Lola it's more serious - and that makes
her the most exposed to whatever evil might lurk ...
- Writer Robert Zirn (Will Devokees) is staying at a hut in the middle
of nowhere to finish his novel - and he doesn't enjoy his
accommodations one bit. And that's even before he finds out what's
locked away up in the attic.
- Morgan's (Krystal Pixie Adams) a vampire who desparately wants to
kick her habit - but can't. But she better should have, as her latest
"victim" is actually a zombie who bites her in the arm,
introducing her to a whole new form of undead angst - and that's when
her boyfriend (Eight The Chosen One) arrives ...

Morbid Stories pretty much offers something for everyone, no
matter what their predilections regarding their horrors are: There's
vampires and monsters and ghouls and zombies, with stories ranging from
the visceral to the atmospheric, the dead serious to the ironic - and the
combination works, because as heterogenous as the five segments may be in
approach, they're all well-written and structured, really putting the
narrative first, while it's very obvious that everyone involved loves the
horror genre in all its forms - something really translates onto screen,
and will make this an enjoyable ride for everyone who just happens to be
into horror.
