It's 15 year old Cassie's (Alexa Mechling) wake at her older sister
Clara's (Ava Psoras) house - Clara who has taken care of her ever since
their mother (Betsy Lynn George) died and their father (Joe Fishel) left
them. Cassie has died in a horrible accident her sister might or might not
be responsible of, but the real story might be entirely different. And
judging by the things Clara is seeing, Cassie might not be at all dead ... A
very creepy little piece of horrors that is driven by allusions rather
than telling a straight forward story, is very associative in approach,
has ditched linear storytelling along the way - and the result is above
all pretty impressive, as by not answering all questions, the film manages
to create a sense of dread, helped of course by a directorial effort
steeped in atmosphere, and strong performances to ground the thing. A
spooky ride for sure! By the way, this is actually the set-up
for a feature film, currently in post production - and I for one wait with
bated breath.
