Nathan (Hugo Dillon) and Daniel (Arben Bajraktaraj) have been involved
in a car accident that killed them both, something they understandably
have quite a bit of trouble to get to grips with. Now both consider
themselves reasonably good people, so they are shocked to learn at the
crossroads of heaven and hell, only one direction's open to them ...
- Jeanne (Manon Maindivide) is not yet 10 years old but full of
dangerous mischief. Her only friend is Tony (Carl Laforêt), her
monster in the basement into whom she projects all her violent
fantasies. Thing is, Tony isn't even half as savage and ruthless as
she is ...
- Chloé (Sidwell Weber) suffers from severe depressions, triggered by
being brutally bullied in school - but her mother Julia (Ophélia
Kolb) just won't listen to her and thinks she blows things out of
proportion. It's only after Chloé has killed herself that Julia wants
to make up to her ...
- In hell, Nathan becomes the plaything of monster Billy (Albin
Jensen) - and Billy likes to play rough ...
A pretty cool horror anthology, Pandemonium manages to marry a
set of macabre stories to quite impressive imagery that often leans
towards the grotesque and at times even to the comically bizarre. And
while the film is low on actual jump scares, it's permeated by a fitting
feel of unease, an unease that will stick with one for quite a bit after
watching - just like you would expect from a really good horror movie.
And if this has gotten you at all interested, Pandemonium can be
watched on https://www.arrow-player.com/
in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada from May 27th 2024.
