All filmmaker Angel Connell (himself) wants to do is to sell a Donald
Trump fetish doll as part of his fundraiser for his next movie - there
isn't even any political motivation behind it, he just has come up with a
fun item to sell, and really could do with the money. But somehow, as soon
as the doll was created, myths have sprung up that the doll has some
magical powers, and so both foreign and domestic agents want to get their
hands on it, be it the Russians, the Iranians, the North Koreans, Deep
State or even Hillary supporters - and no matter what they think the doll
might do for them, they have one thing in common, they just don't want to
pay for it (even if it's modestly priced) but take it by force. Thing is,
each and every organisation after the doll is already in the crosshairs of
another organisation, and none of those would back out of shooting to kill
... While this can be labelled as political satire, it's not a
political film as such, inasmuch as it doesn't take a stand for or against
Trump, rather pokes fun at how politics are handled as such, and
internationally, where piracy always trumps over honest dealmaking, where
treachery and injustice are pretty much the norm. And this is only
augmented by the fact that this movie gets its laughs out of repitition -
basically every time one of the parties seem to get their hands on the
doll, the light goes out, shots are heard, and when the lights go back
home, our hero finds himself face to face with another gang of crooks. And
thanks to some sharp dialogue and solid performances, this joke seems to
never get old ...
