Nadja (Sujata), the fiancée of Zahir (Victor Milian), servant to jungle doctor Ramar (Jon Hall) & professor Ogden (Ray Montgomery) is abducted by follwers of the cult of Shanda, who want to force her to marry (!) their stone idol (!!), so Ramar, Ogden & Zahir go to save her ... but their first attempt amounts to little, as not only do they not succeed, even Zahir is caught & walled up in the temple of Shanda (of course he is soon freed by Ramar & Ogden, though).

It seems it is inevitable that Nadja will have to marry the stone idol ... except if the idol rejects her .... but how can a stone idol reject anyone ?

... which is when Ramar & Ogden remember their newly developed smoke bombs, which they place in the hands of the idol & fire off when the high priest asks the idol if it accepts Nadja ... & these silly natives really believe the idol rejected her & kill the high priest for insulting their idol (!).

A very silly storyline, I have to admit, but somehow it's good natured jungle fun ... & what more would you expect from a series called Ramar of the Jungle.
