A new and highly addictive drug is flooding the market, mash, a
hallucinogene that's killing young people by the dozen. Go Tachibana, an
eccentric narcotic cop who dresses like a cowboy and always carries a
guitar around, tracks mash back to its source, the Iron Cross Army (mash
is grown out of one of their machine bems [~ robot monster]). Spider-Man
(Shinji Todou), sworn enemy of the Iron Cross Army, doesn't like
Tachibana's ways of investigating one bit, mainly because Tachibana is
always accompanied by his small son, meaning he puts the child in harm's
way. Then though Spidey learns the actual reason for the cop bringing his
boy: The boy saw his mother, Tachibana's wife, murdered, later got run
over bys a car, and suffered amnesia as a result - and Tachibana figured
if the boy faces his mother's killer, his memory will return again. From
now on, Spidey and Tachibana join forces and blow the mash operation of
the Iron Cross Army sky high, and when Tachibana's son has to face
Amazoness (Yukie Kagawa), second-in-command of the army, and her latest
machine bem (the drug-growing one), he identifies them as his mother's
killers and regains his memory ... One of the funnier Spider-Man
episodes, due to a rather hilarious guest monster and the story'S
occasional Western-references. Nothing great, sure, but fairly
entertaining.
