Azeil (Justin Thibault), agent of an unnamed agency, has the assignment
to kill Marcy (Kayla Caulfield), who might be his partner or a rival agent
or even his lover, he's no longer sure since it seems that every time he
finds out some more of his assignment he wakes up to a different reality,
including realities where he has already killed Marcy. Thing is, Marcy, if
she's at all the person he has to kill, might be well aware of his
intentions ... I'll freely admit, above synopsis does sound a
tad confusing, and that's mainly because the film is as well - but it's
the good kind of confusing, the one that keeps you playfully guessing
until the answers to your questions are no longer important. And it's not
that the film is just confusing, it's actually very cleverly built up and
has its moments of surprise and suspense - and all while following a
nightmare logic that works surprisingly well as the film's backbone. And a
subtle yet effective directorial effort as well as a very solid cast
manage to make this one work rather beautifully, actually.
