It's summer, and Ada (Ángela Ríos) and Marina's (Lidia Veiga)
relationship still feels young, exciting and very passionate. Enter Tomás
(Xulio Besteiro), whom they at first welcome with open arms, and soon
enough the three of them become inseperable and go on many an adventure
together through the year, and for the most time, their ménage à trois
feels quite natural - that is until one spring night, Ada and Tomás get
just a little closer to one another than they're used to, and their
natural intimacy leads to more ... a more that proves to be too much for
Marina to bear. But Ada isn't ready to let her go ...
A quite unique film that somehow manages to blend the
slice-of-life approach of some of Eric Rohmer's best films with some sort
of very natural eroticism that at times gets pretty explicite albeit
without ever coming across as exploitative let alone sleazy. That this
blend works though is thanks on one hand to a directorial approach that
has an almost lyrical quality to it, and also thanks to a trio of actors
giving very grounded, no frills performances, and all of this adds up to a
very unusual but nevertheless very compelling experience.
