Undercover crime fighter Saki's (Yoko Minamino) new high school is
terrorized by the Beast Gang, led by three juvenile delinquents who have
just been released on parole - and nobody in the school tries to put up
any defence, nobody but Takashi, who has thrown them into the slammer the
first time, but even he's eventually persuaded by her girlfriend Terumi to
make an escape rather than await their revenge on his own. Of course,
Saki's not one to surrender, and even though she has been injured when
saving Terumi's life from a Beast Gang attack. But to compensate for her
lack of mobility due to her injuries, she puts together some traps, and
when the Beast Gang arrives to take over for good, she lures the leaders
into the school after her and makes sure her traps spring on them. Okyo (Haruko
Sagara) and Yukino (Akie Yoshizawa), Saki's newfound sidekicks from last
episode, appear only very briefly, taking care of the Beast Gang
underlings while Saki takes out the bosses. Taking a few cues
from the classic High Noon, this episode is nevertheless more of a
camp show, with plenty of motorbikes, villains with martial arts weapons,
and of course some yo-yo action from Saki - and heck, it's fun. Of course,
one simply mustn't overthink all the on-screen goings-on, as not
everything makes 100% sense, and disbelief is of course suspended to
breaking point - but really, if you're taking this episode and the series
as a whole seriously, you're not doing it right, but if not you'll find
plenty to enjoy!
