Monica Screamalot (Veronica Ricci) watches a bunch of horror movies
with her decaying family (James Cullen Bressack, Nick Waugh, Nicholas
Clark):
- Trendish: All a teenaged boy (Ethan Phillips) wants for
Christmas is a hat he saw his rapper idol wear in a music video - but
his parents (Stephen Phillips, Kim Phillips) decide to save on him in
favour for his DVD-crazy brother (Shawn C.Phillips) - which turns him
into a homicidal maniac.
- Baby Cakes: Baby (Shawn C.Phillips) has the nasty habit of
eating babysitters - so his parents (Brendan Mitchell, Saree Waugh)
decide to hire an exorcist (Miles Dougal) ... bot who would have
thought they don't really want their son to be exorcised but something
more sinister?
- Bloody Hell: A bunch of amateur oil prospectors (Alex Powers,
Victoria Sky, Stanly Provin, Brent Buser) decide to spend the night in
the wild to better cover the area - and fall prey to an especially
brutal serialkiller (Bradley Strange), a kid feeding on oil!
- The Prom: Film reviewers Don (Shawn C.Phillips) and Murph
(M.Kelly) are invited to their very special prom, and don't even
suspect the least bit of foul play when they are the only two who show
up ... until they have to come to the gory realization that there's a
serialkiller after them.
- The Caged Girl?: Unable to approach his dreamgirl (Shawn
C.Phillips - really, he even has a topless scene in this one!) the
usual way, a guy (M.Kelly) just kidnaps her. But as sweet and innocent
as she may seem, she knows very well how to use her female charms (and
body) to lure her kidnapper into a death trap.
- A Pain in the Gums: Oren (Kevin E.Scott) has caught himself
some bacteria in his teeth that ... well, not only causes hellish
pain, it also talks (and is thus voiced by Doug Waugh) - which drives
Oren nuts, especially when he loses a job because of it ... and thus
eventually, he takes his power drill and ...

What goes for the first Treasure
Chest of Horrors pretty much also goes for this one: This is not a
reinvention of the genre, but a movie by people who love it (which is wha
the movie also works as an hommage to low budget horror) and want to have
fun with it - which is why the film is all over the place, thematically,
and has a charming no-holds-barred approach to it.
In all, this is probably not a movie for everyone, but if you are a fan
of indie low-to-no budget horror from the last, say, 30 years, you will
most certainly find something (actually quite a lot) to chuckle about
here.
