Smalltown, USA, the 1950's: A new couple, the Stones, moves into the
neighbourhood, and they are shocking everyone by having sex in the
afternoon ... no, not in public, behind closed curtains, but you could
hear Eve Stone's orgasm. This of course gets the whole neighbourhood into
an uproar, as everybody around here is a good churchgoer who carries his
or her bible around as a habit, and the sexual revolution is known around
these parts only by repute and sounds very much like the work of the devil
or worse yet a commie conspiracy. Of course, what's going on behind
closed doors is an entirely different matter, as lesbian sex, threesomes,
cheating on one's partner and the like are pretty much common orccurences
in the neighbourhood, it's just that nobody talks about it. Especially
bible-thumping Morgan is in favour of driving the Stones out of the area
in a neighbourhood meeting, but he of course neglects to mention that he
has made it his habit to peep in on Eve Stone when she's sleeping in the
nude. Patty, who has made friends with Eve, is less convinced that the
Stones are actually evil, so she and Morgan go over to interview
(interrogate) them about wife-swapping and the swinger lifestyle - with
the result that they get a first-hand demonstration inasmuch as Morgan has
sex with Eve, the woman he has long longed for, and Patty is assfucked by
Alan Stone. The next day it's mission accomplished for the Stones and
they leave the neighbourhood for good, leaving the locals with the bomb
named free love they have dropped, which they will quarrel over the rest
of their lives most probably rather than just giving in to pleasure. A
nice satire on the sexual hangups and the bigotery of 1950's USA that is
actually rather harmless (besides the hardcore sex of course). But then
again, the whole thing is nicely filmed, all the girls look pretty good,
and the whole cast gives decent performances both sexually and
acting-wise. What I fail to understand though is why this is supposed to
be a parody of Twilight Zone. Sure, the film has certain
similarities to The
Monsters are Due on Maple Street, but it pretty much lacks all
supernatural elements of the series, and in spirit, it might just as well
be a pornographic hommage to Joe Sarno's sex dramas from the 1960's or a
porn parody of Desperate Housewives (provided the actresses
wore different outfits that is). Still, as a plot-based porn flick, this
movie is pretty ok, and if it's nothing special, it's at least pretty
watchable.
