Kayley (Julia Sims) and Thalia (Ashlyn Gardner) are two vloggers who
have gained a huge following over time ... but of late, Kayley feels
something's not right anymore, something that has to do with their mom
(McKenna Cole) walking around the house apathetic and either not reacting
at all to Kayley or shouting at her for no apparent reason. Then Kayley
gets stuck in her car to the car radio blaring out a stupid country song,
and later her best friend Brianna (Bria Michele) and Brianna's mom react
to her a bit awkwardly, as do people at the grocery store. And Thalia
can't stop trying to scare Kayley with the simplest of tricks. It takes
Kayley a while to piece together the puzzle, but when she manages to, she
couldn't be more shocked ... Granted, this is a film that lacks
in production values and polish, but it really makes up for it in terms of
storytelling and creating general eeriness in the process. And the
performances are really on par as well. So no, by no means perfect ... but
very promising!
