Vinnie's (James Balsamo) not a bad guy, he just tends to make the wrong
decisions all of the time, like robbing a jewelry store and
unintentionally bagging a crystal that sets free an evil entity called
"The Litch" (Dave Stein) - pretty much a demon who
kills/possesses all of Vinnie's friends, which of course complicates his
social life ... but helps him against those after his life. Thing is,
Vinnie soon has to find out it's not terribly simple to get rid of the
Litch ... Everybody's favourite scream queen Debra Lamb [Debra
Lamb interview - click here] brightens up the screen playing a
European lady rather infatuated by the "Leeetch". I
won't mince words here, The Litch is far from being a perfect
movie. In fact it has quite a few technical issues that betray its indie
roots all too clearly - and that said, The Litch also has heart,
and lots of it! Basically, James Balsamo charms it up in his central
performance and gives all the actors room to shine - and most of them are
nothing short of hilarious. Basically, The Litch is a movie that's
maybe not great, but you'll end liking it much more than you ought to ...
