Undercover crime fighter Saki (Yoko Minamino) is sent yet to another
new school, where her superior Nishiwaki (Keizo Kanie) pretends to be a
very clumsy teacher - and she immediately runs into opposition in the
person of "Okyo of the Marbles" (Haruko Sagara), the school's
queen bee who uses marbles as her weapon of choice. Saki however seems to
see the good in her and tries to befriend her - to little avail.
Meanwhile, the editors of the school newspaper find out Saki might be a
gangster as well and figure they ought to pit one against the other. And
so, prompted by mock challenges to one another made up by the editors, the
girls duel each other, and ultimately Okyo is no match for Saki and her
yo-yo - but when Saki proves to Okyo there duel has been set up, the two
become friends - and Uehara, editor-in-chief of the school paper, is so
moved by this that he destroys the pictures they have taken from the
fight. In a post finale scene, Yukino (Akie Yoshizawa), Saki's friend
from last
episode, pops up that she has been transferred to Saki's new
school as well, just to be with her ... It's a fight yo-yo
against marbles, so that's pretty hilarious, but other than that, the
story serves as little more than a set-up for things to come, the actual
plotline is very thin and not all that consequential, especially since the
episode's title character Okyo is given very little in character set-up or
motivation. That said, the addition of Okyo and the post-finale arrival of
Yukino whets the appetite for future episodes, while this one just isn't
strong enough as a stand-alone.
