Someone is terrorizing Saki's (Yuki Saito) school with a series of
timebomb detonations - but it's only a student's prank, since all these
timebombs actually set off nothing but harmless fireworks, set off to
amuse the students. Then though, the whole story gets serious when the
school's mild-mannered principal receives death threats linked to the time
bomber - serious enough for Saki's secret organisation to turn to her for
assistance. Saki soon manages to track down the timebomber, co-ed
Shimizu, but by that time he has already set up a timebomb - a real one -
to blow up the entire school. Saki manages to talk sense into him so he
agrees to dismantle the bomb - with the help of her trusted Yo-Yo - again
... but thing is, he is not the one behind the death threats to the
principal, he was originally only a harmless prankster who got forced to
build real timebombs by a masked man - the chemistry teacher, who bears a
grudge against the principal. Saki takes a timebomb to the chemistry
teacher and forces a confession out of him - before the timebomb reveals
itself to be harmless fireworks. Not great in a campy sort of
way, not even as good as the premise "undercover police school girl
armed with a Yo-Yo" might suggest, but any TV show that has a
schoolgirl dismantling a timebomb using a Yo-Yo cannot be all bad, now can
it?
