Your upcoming movie 207 - in a few words, what's it going to be about?

A group of young girls get tricked into skipping school by a group of human sex traffickers to be sold abroad for sexual slavery.

How did you get involved with the project in the first place, and what drew you to the film's subject matter?

I was approached by my dear friend and production partner Daniel Rivera [Daniel Rivera interview - click here], and we kind of got together and brainstormed. Daniel has a six years old daughter so it’s an important subject to him. I understand how big of a cause it is and how important it is to raise awareness. I trust Daniel and I love his daughter Khaleesi so I wanted to be a part of this project.

What can you tell us about 207's writer Daniel Rivera, and what's your collaboration like?

Daniel is a visionary, multi-talented actor, stuntman, filmmaker and professional wrestler. He is open-minded and has his hands in many parts. I don’t only talk to Daniel about martial arts. I can talk to him about so many things because he does so much. I love working with Daniel. He is professional, hardworking and respectful. One thing I love about Daniel is that there is no such thing as impossible. We always figure it out together.

What are the main challenges of bringing 207 to the screen from a producer's point of view?

The main challenges we face is of course COVID-19. A lot of people are concerned with the virus - so finding the right people to work with. We never have enough time and with a project of this magnitude we need to get as much done as we can the right way. Another issue is telling a story this serious involving kidnapping, sexual assault and rape is always devasting to do, and we are working with an amazing group of individuals to see this through.

What can you tell us about your directorial approach to your story at hand?

My approach in directing this project is to try and bring the battles between the families and social media. I want to highlight the issues teenagers face before doing something wrong like skipping school, problems like issues at home, peer pressure, social media, cyber bullying and bad decision making.

Do talk about 207's cast, and why exactly these people?

The cast is full of talented individuals who have known each other for a while. They are young professional actors. Savannah, Paris [Paris Bravo interview - click here], Arielle, Orli and Jentzen were chosen by Daniel and Paris and they were perfectly cast.

According to my information, you're presently in the middle of shooting 207 - so what can you tell us about the shoot so far, and anything you can tell us about the further schedule of the shoot?

The shooting is going great. Time is short but we are making the best of the situation. We are fortunate enough to be working with professionals who are also passionate about this project and I can’t wait for everyone to see the final product.

Any future projects beyond 207?

Yes, we have a few projects lined up. Peaches, a film I wrote where I will be playing the lead character, directing and producing. There are also 2 projects on deck for Limelight Productions, Joe Riv, an action short film, and Double Trouble, which will be a series.

Anything else you're dying to mention and I have merely forgotten to ask?

In this time I would like to reassure everyone that we shall get through this and support each other and spread positivity. And spread awareness and give voice to the voiceless.

Thanks for the interview!
