Your new movie Necrophiliac:
The Lustful Dead - in a few words, what is it about? It's
about two lonely beautiful people who one day meet and... Only fucking
with you, it's about some crazed young dude who wants to show a
documentary film maker his rotten new buddy who he enjoys getting down and
sexy with. Why necrophilia, and did you do any
research on the subject? Me and Jason Impey [Jason
Impey interview - click here] are fans (of course) of the
legendary Nekromantik films which I guess is one inspiration, but we just
wanted to bring our own spin to the necrophiliac horror genre, in our own
way. We thought it'd be interesting to make it as a 'mockumentary', the
same style we used in a previous LGBTI flick Twink
(2014). Other than
that I guess it was just another way of really pissing some prudes off!!! Your
(other) sources of inspiration when writing Necrophiliac:
The Lustful Dead - and to what extent was the movie based on a
drawn out script, to what extent improvised? Mainly
improvised as per usual, I think they call it laziness... I call it
freedom. We'd jotted some ideas then we just rolled those cams. How
much of yourself can you find in your character Haydn, and what did you
draw upon to bring him to life? Hopefully nothing, he's bat
shit crazy, and not in a good way.
What can you tell us
about your co-director, co-star and long-time partner in crime Jason Impey
[Jason Impey interview - click here],
and what was your collaboration like on this particular project? I
suppose mine and Jason's defining feature of our film collaborations is
that we have an insatiable taste for rubbing the film industry up the
wrong way!!! We both have a love and passion for throwback film if you'd
like to call it that, and generally we just like to experiment with shit
(literally). The banter between us is gorgeous, and every film just seems
like a prime opportunity to see how many disgusting, distasteful oneliners we can knock out. We constantly have a blast making films, some
good laughs and our kitchens seem to be the breeding places for having
fake shit, spunk and piss knocking about! In fact, I have the corpse in my
shed as we speak... Why did you go the fake documentary
route with Necrophiliac:
The Lustful Dead, and to what extent was that decision influenced
by an earlier fake documentary you did with Jason Impey,
Twink? Totally
influenced, intentionally so, Necrophiliac:
The Lustful Dead is made for a horror underground
audience, for me a new audience, Twink
was made for the LGBTI market and
we thought, hey, we got away with it one time let's really take the piss
and do this style again. It remains to be seen if we are second time lucky
I suppose, and how the crazy horror fan boys and girls take to it :D What
can you tell us about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere? We
really alike Twink just rolled, we had the ideas and we just let the
conversation take us places and waited to see what turned up. The
$64-question of course, when and where will the movie be released onto the
general public?

US distribution has been confirmed, but in
the very early stages, my guess is that it'll appear towards the end of
the year on DVD or start of 2016. We currently are in discussions with a
few European distributors but that also is very early days. Any
future projects you'd like to share?
Currently Jason is
editing a new snuff film entitled Fluid Boy... clues in the title, more
about that soon. Your/your movie's website, Facebook,
whatever else?
