The relationship of Roxanna (Misty Mundae) and Todd (Josh Robinson) has pretty much out of steam, so one day, Todd brings Claire (the gorgeous Katie Jordon) with her and persuades Roxanna to sleep with her before his very eyes after a session of coke-snorting - and wouldn't you know it, Roxanna takes a liking to sleeping with women (and can you blame her after having slept with Katie Jordon). So she definitely wants more, and when she one day hasn't got enough money to pay her doke dealer (Darian Caine) she literally jumps to the opportunity to have sex with her.

At first, it seems that Todd gets a kick out of watching Roxanna do it with women right before him - even if he afterwards calls her a whore -, but after a while, seeing her enjoying it just so much, he shows suicidal tendencies, and when she fails to talk him out of it (actually she encourges him), he cuts his own throat ...

Roxanna is admitted to a sanitarium, but even there she fantasizes about having sex with her doctor (Barbara Joyce) ...

To an extent, you just have to love Seduction Cinema - they have made it a habit to unearth forgotten sexploitation gems from the 1960's and 70's, remake them with their own stable of girls and put the remake on a DVD together with the original to ensure the original to get a comparatively wide distribution. Thus they have unearthed many of Nick Philips' sexploitation masterpieces, Roxanna from 1970 among them.

The new version of the film though bears relatively little resemblance to the old one, there are a few shots that seem to be directly lifted from the old film and the story has a very vague resemblance, but that's pretty much it. Unfortunately, while the 1970-version was a diamond in the raw, the 2002-version has little to go for it: the sex is incdredibly tame (even when compared to the version from 32 years earlier), going hardly beneath topless nudity, the sex scenes are directed in an extremely uninspired way, the story is feeble even for the roughly 35 minutes the film lasts, and worst of all, the film takes itself way too seriously. That's not to say the film is totally bad, it's still nice to see some of these Seduction girls topless, and it is mercifully short ... however, the film is not good in any way either.
