Being provided with her car and money to blow by their mum Iris (Debra
Lamb), Lily (Michelle Nessk) and Rose (Tonjia Atomic) head off to Vegas to
... just party. Eventually they stumble across a really weird old lady who
seems to be totally unaware of the world around her, so for fun and kicks
(and probably under the influence of alcohol and who-knows-what), the
girls steal her bag, find a mysterious notbebook full of incantations
inside, and as they are young, they try some out ... Months, probably
years later, the authorities have long given up looking for Lily and Rose,
only Iris is still sure that they are out there - at the same time, her
theories about what might have happened seem to come from the loonie side
of things ... A fun little found footage movie that (for a
change) really takes its time to build up tension and atmosphere and to
tell a story that actually makes one longing for more. Plus, the
characters are actually relateable, also thanks to very solid
performances, and the whole thing seems to be thought through rather than
cobbled together. According to my information, there's a feature version
of this in the works, and I for one can't wait ...
