Coming out of a rather abusive relationship, Cathy (Corella Waring)
moves into the notorious Amityville death house - after all, just because
a few people were killed there some 40 years ago doesn't mean anything -
other than the rent's really cheap. Somehow she gets her hands on the
house's vibrator (voiced by Sadie Tate), which leads to her and her
girlfriend Roxi (Mallory Maneater) having really hot sex before Roxi is
killed but revived as her sex slave, and a ventriloquist's dummy (voiced
by Brian Papandea) coming to life to have sex with Cathy ... There are
two detectives out there trying to track down the vibrator, but
unfortunately one of them is Cathy's useless ex (Nathan Rumler), the other
his very hot partner (Emily Hilborn) he loves doing drugs with (and
fatasizing about) way too much, so not much of a knight in shining armour
there ... Now first and foremost, Amityville Vibrator is
not a good film by any stretch of the definition, and frankly the title
pretty much already suggests as much. That said, the Amitiville
"franchise", for being in public domain, has seen many a
schlocky rendition, and this is also by no means the worst. Sure, the
movie is about as in-your-face as the title suggests, and yes, the
vibrator scenes are pretty much as explicit as can be, but the whole thing
doesn't feel as straight porn as the title might make one expect but is
rather reminiscent of 1970s sleaze movies that constantly tried to push
the envelope - both in terms of sex and violence - without going all the
way ... and when it comes to that, Amityville Vibrator is pretty
honest at least - which doesn't make it a good movie, but an interesting
watch at least.
