Ed (Simon Kiser) loves his aunt Laura (Bernadette O'Hara) - even if
she's a bit on the eccentric side and somewhat of a black sheep of the
family. And when he takes a break from his studies, he's sure to visit her
and spend some time with her, and to hear all her wild theories that have
something to do with another plane of existence she seems to be drawn to.
And one day just like that she's gone, and while the family thinks she has
just wandered off to somewhere due to her unstable state of mind, Ed
suspects something more ... The concept of this film is mighty
interesting, but unfortunately the execution is less so, relying on too
subtle a directorial effort that at times becomes boring, dialogue that's
generic rather than original or interesting, and the ending just really
doesn't grab its audience as one has seen it coming from a mile away. On
the plus side though, the actors are good and manage to keep interest up
even if they have to carry the between the two of them. And the concept
sure is intriguing ...
