From his prison cell, Tom Sizemore recounts the further misadventures
in Barbee Rehab: Through a series of misunderstandings, an (outer space)
alien agent (Bai Ling) thinks to blend in with humankind she has to enter
Barbee Rehab - in the guise of Chinese Barbee. In the meantime, Cop
Ken (Derek S. Orr) has had sex with mermaid Barbee (Karen Dadouceur) - but
then left her out of the water too long so she has died. He gets rid of
her with the help of Head Collector Barbee (Ryan Walsh) - and isn't it
weird that all he serves for dinner of late is sushi? Cop Ken also helps
Haggard Ken (Charlie Farrell), who feels a little left out now that Cop
Ken has taken over as the stud of the place, get into shape again, but he
might only be creating another alpha male in the process. And Cop Ken's
already in a turf war with the institutes head doctor Midge (Vanessa
Bednar), who has called for reinforcements in the person of Glinda Barbee
(Karen Ladouceur again), a witch from the Wizard
of Oz-line, who uses magic to basically annoy Cop Ken ... More
fun from Barbie camp, this time with some darker shades (like Mermaid
Barbees death and removal) to it which are rolled into especially campy
context for maximum laughs - and while some might find this tasteless it's
actually part of the show's irreverent charm that it just refuses to take
things too seriously - which is of course also mirrored in the ensemble's
over-the-top performances, anchored by Tom Sizemore's "Greek
choir", who has clearly fun making fun of himself.
