CEO of the Cronos Corporation Victor (Aleksandr Ustyugov) wants to
throw super-bot Arisa (Paulina Andreeva) under the bus by promising the
minister she'll perform surgery on a human being for the bid, something
her minder, neuro-surgeon Georgy (Kirill Käro) insists she'll never
succeed in. Super-hacker Lara (Mariya Lugovaya), whom Georgy has grown
quite fond of, actually agrees to be Arisa's patient, as she's terminally
ill and doctors refuse to operate on her. She just has one request, a huge
sum of money to be paid to her daughter whom she has long lost
guardianship over. In the end though, Arisa succeeds in a surgery even
Georgy has failed in, mixing all the cards anew. Meanwhile, Victor's
right-hand-man Igor (Pavel Vorozhtsov) tracks down Victor's wife Svetlana
(Irina Tarannik) in an asylum Victor has put her in, and plans to free her
as the two are secret lovers, and Georgy's son Egor (Eldar Kalimulin)
plans to spring his girlfriend Jeanne (Vera Panvilova) from the orphanage
she has been put in, with the help of some gadgets Lara has equipped him
with. Not the best of episodes, as the main plot is just too
predictable from beginning to end (but sets up an interesting subject one
can only hope with be tackled in the finale), while the two subplots are
really just more of the same and seem to be drawn out over episode after
episode. Here, one can only hope the finale will offer narratively
satisfactory resolutions.
