Shoko (Konatsu) is about to get her wedding registration to be married
to Tamura (Takuya Fukushima) when she meets Kudo (Kin Ishikawa) at the
registration office, who is filing for divorce. Later that evening, Shoko,
who has second thoughts about the wedding, visits Kudo in his restaurant
after hours ... and before you know it the two have sex. This goes on for
a few nights, but Kudo desperately tries to break up with her so she
doesn't endanger her wedding ...
Kudo is actually married to Keiko (Yumika Hyashi), whom he long ago
stole from his best friend Yoshida (Kazuhiro Sano), who has since turned
acloholic. Then though Yoshida falls sick, and it soon turns out it's
cancer - and somehow Kudo feels obliged to take care of him. Eventually he
persuades his wife to go visit him in hospital - but unfortunately, Kudo
eavesdrops on a conversation Keiko and Yoshida are having and learns that
his oldest son is actually Yoshida's ...
Eventually, Tamura finds out that something is wrong with Shoko, and
she tells him she wants to call off the wedding, because her feelings for
him are gone - which soon leads to Tamura drinking heavily and landing in
bed with Shoko's best friend Mika (Minami Aoyama) ...
Eventually, Shoko and Kudo meet on a crossroad - and decide to go the
rest of the way together.
One of these (softcore) pink films that, besides the usual (and
expected) amount of sex also serves a thoght through, even kind of
touching story, a drama about people wanting to break out of their
dead-boring daily routines, be it a failed marriage or the perfect
husband-to-be who just turns out to be less than perfect. And wouldn't you
know it, the film actually works as a drama, and its mere 58 minutes
running time give the story just enough time to evolve without becoming
cheesy.
