The day of the biblical Rapture is finally upon us, where all the good
ones go to heaven, all the bad ones go to hell, and the rest ... they're
left on earth, destined to fight demons. But even if she can't deny the
sheer reality of it, Jane (Kelly Jane) couldn't care less about that
biblical crap, she needs a buzzcut and pronto as her girlfriend (Laura
Hackworth) doesn't approve of her hair anymore and thus refuses
before-breakfast sex unless Jane does something about it. It sucks then
that the hairdresser of her choice dissolves into a pile of ash when only
half done, and it seems every other hair salon in town looks like a
bloodbath. But Jane knows what she wants, and Jane's bad ass - even if
getting a new hairdo means to fight through a horde of demons or two and
in the process wearing more blood on the outside than on the inside ... Buzzcut
is pretty much a perfect party movie: The premise itself is as
tongue-in-cheek as they come, the plot, what little there is, is easy to
follow, there's much profanity and comicbook violence in the film as well
as plenty of dark humour, the whole thing's rather rapidly paced and
directed with a certain verve. But first and foremost, Buzzcut is
just loads of fun!
