3 completely unrelated stories:
1) For the next few days, 6 girls of the swimming team are lodged up at
a cabin in the middle of nowhere as part of their training camp, but the
girlsdecide to party a little, and since they have brought bottle rockets,
they decide to shoot them ... but they haven't brought a bottle - so they
just take one with a bunch of flowers in it just standing around in the
open as an offering to the dead, dump the flowers and ... and suddenly
they are bumped off one by one until one of them, Sanae, finds herself in
a cabin fullof corpses. When she makes her hasty escape though, she bumps
into a guy who seems to be more than keen on killing her too ... until he
himself is killed by the girls' swimming coach whom Sanae's friend Risa
called in just in time. Turns out the killer had put the flowers in the
bottle where they were as an offering to his dead sister and got so angry
when the girls desecrated his offering tht he decided to kill them, one by
one.
2) It's Christmas eve and the girls' dorm is empty, empty but for four
girls who have decided to thros a party and even invite a boy, Ryuhei,
around. Instead though, a killer in a Santa Claus outfit pays them a visit
and bumps them off one by one, until he has the last of the girls cornered
on the roof of the dorm and ... is thrown off the roof by Ryuhei - who
also wears a Santa Claus outfit.
Thrown off to his death ?
Nope, in best horror tradition the killer somehow has survived the fall
...
3) A quartet of girls are on their first holiday trip togther to visit
Ayumi's grandma, but one of them, Mitsuko, is acting a bit strange, seeing
all sorts of things that freak her out, and pretty soon the others (who
can't see what she sees) too. Soon enough, the girls start turning up
dead, and grandma too, until only Ayumi and Mitsuko are left alive ...
which is when Ayumi realizes Mitsuko has no reflection in the mirror. In
panic, she makes an escape and runs right in front of a car, is run over
and dies ... it's only then that we hear a message on her cellphone that
Mitsuko has died two days ago (also having been run over by a car), and
apparently it was her spirit that couldn't let go who accompanied the
others to Ayumi's grandma ...
Cheaply made horror anthology with the main selling point being that
all the girls are played by idols (a rather peculiar and typical
Japanese phenomenon - cute teenage girls who have become celebrities
primatily through heavy marketing). The first two stories of this
anthology are slasher stories pretty much stripped to the bone but not too
well-made or indeed too exciting. It's rather your run-of-the-mill mad
killer plot with nothing much to catch your attention. Only the third
story, the ghost story, is at least partially interesting - though it
would have greatly profited from a slightly bigger budget and more
professional camerawork and lighting to create the proper atmosphere to go
with this kind of story ...
Not really worth your while.
