Everyday life can be ... very mundane, to say the least. But maybe
we're just not looking at it the right way, what if a handful of master
directors with very distinct directorial styles looked at what seems
trivial to us and gave it their own spin?
- Babysitting, if Directed by Quentin Tarantino: Adam (Adam
Vadasz) and Gina (Natalie Pavelek) have their nieces (Brooklyn Cruz,
Destiny Monet Cruz) over to babysit - and the fight over the last
slice of pizza turns into a Mexican stand-off - with plastic knives
...
- House Cleaning, if Directed by Alfred Hitchcock: Gina wants
to turn on Adam wearing his mother's clothes - with unexpected results
...
- Date Night, if Directed by Martin Scorsese: With the house
full of people, Adam is always looking forward to date night with Gina
- but date night isn't as straightforward a thing as it once was
anymore ...
- Garbage & Recycling, if Directed by M. Night Shyamalan: A
trip to the recycling bin leads to a meet-up with two weirdos (Joe
Carney, Rich McDonald), and the realisation the woman inside his house
might not be his wife ...
If you're at all into movies above and beyond mainstream drivel and
have at least a rudimentary idea about the films of the filmmakers in
question, it's almost impossible to not find this webseries wickedly
funny, as it's clearly made by people who know, understand and love
cinema, but are not above making loving fun of it. Thus all four episodes
can be understood at the same time as parody and hommage to misters
Tarantino, Hitchcock, Scorsese and Shaymalan, and whichever way you see
it, they're all great entertainment!
